OWP – New for 2019 –
We have developed this wetsuit to provide for the needs of the pure open water swimmer
who requires a product that offers incredible restriction free movement, a natural position
in the water and extreme comfort. In designing our OWP wetsuit we drew on our 10 years
of experience making some of the best wetsuits in the world. We have made this suit to
comply with FINA uniform rules.
Available in women’s and men’s specific cuts.
– Neck: The neck is cut extra low from 1.5mm Yamamoto #44 SCS neoprene to avoid
skin irritations and uncomfortable compression.
– Arms and shoulders: tailored from the supplest neoprene outer (1.5 mm Yamamoto #44
SCS) and stretchiest jersey inner in the world, the cut allows complete freedom of
movement and reduces muscle fatigue to a minimum. We have decided to use #44
neoprene from Yamamoto instead of #40 on these parts, as we found it to be even more
supple and yet more hard-wearing.
– Wrists: High-cut wrists make for a secure seal to minimise water entry.
–Thighs and Front body panel: 4.5mm Yamamoto #39 neoprene. Panels treated with SCS for
reduced passive drag.
– Zip: invisible reverse zip for better hydrodynamics and less water entry. The fact the zip
closes from top to bottom also means that it cannot be easily unzipped “by accident” in a
race situation.
– Lower leg and back: 3.5mm (Yamamoto #39 SCS) the foot opening is cut high for
restriction-less kicking.
– Jersey: Lycra inner jersey for greater comfort
– Safety Tapes: special taping over the stress zones of the arm and leg seams improve the
life-span of the suit.
